For years, members of the various communities in the region saw it as normal that fruits such as quince, plum or capulín fell to the ground without any use. Currently, various groups in the region are committed to making these fruits an opportunity for life.
Now, the quince, plum or capulín plants are accompanied by peaches, blackberries and strawberries for sale in local markets, with which those involved are improving their income. The next step to take with the groups is to process the fruits to make liqueurs and jams that will further improve their income and quality of life.
"I'm happy with my job, I like the countryside. My project is peach and blackberry and I like it a lot, that's where I live, I generate employment for my family and more people. With Pro Mixteca I feel proud to know them, they made me open the eyes and I believe that with them I can fulfill my dream of being a businessman.
