OUR HISTORY
IT'S YOUR STORY

Almost 30 years ago, a group of volunteers interested in the comprehensive development of the communities of the Mixteca of Oaxaca began to develop support activities for the well-being of the population in the areas of health, education, nutrition, human training and community development. .

Initially, the visit of doctors, delivery of food, clothing and school supplies, as well as the management and implementation of public welfare works for the population, were coordinated.

In February 2004, this effort was legally established as a Civil Association under the name of Fundación Pro Mixteca, with the purpose of promoting the sustainable development of communities through a methodology based on the Integrative Human Development Model.

The Integrative Human Development model is supported by the individual appropriating his mentality, his intentionality and his capacity, with the purpose of developing productive projects for the benefit of the individual, the family and the community, all of this under the fundamental premise to respect their culture, customs and environment.
