In collaboration with the SERTULL Foundation, two workshops on the Human Right to Water were held. Producers from the communities of San José Yatandoyo, Santa María Cuquila, and Tinuma de Zaragoza identified water sources, strengthened their understanding of basic concepts, and recognized the importance of organizing to ensure access to water as a right for all families.
"Before the 'My Human Right to Water' workshop, I didn’t realize how much we depend on water and how important it is to take care of it. I learned that it’s not just a resource but a right that we must protect. This workshop not only made me reflect but motivated me to act!"
Thanks to the training conducted in the Mixteca region, it has been possible to develop family and community-based productive projects. The program provides ongoing support to producers, such as Gabriel Antonio López, a raspberry, pear, apple, blackberry, and calla lily farmer from the community of Mesón de Guadalupe in the Santiago Juxtlahuaca region. He enthusiastically participates in training sessions and gratefully sells each flower and fruit, appreciating the opportunity to share his experience and work with others.
