The production of vegetables began in collaboration with the mothers of students from Emiliano Zapata Primary School in the community of Cahuayá in San Sebastián Tecomaxtlahuaca. These mothers encouraged the children to participate in soil preparation and planting activities.
Additionally, a training session on jam-making was conducted, where the beneficiaries had the opportunity to bond through the preparation of empanadas using local ingredients, with their diet based on seasonal corn and local fruit, involving a total of 14 direct beneficiaries.
These training sessions aim to enhance the region's natural resources through
agroindustry, innovating consumption methods, and promoting local sales to maximize the use of fruits while minimizing waste.
