The MIAF system (Intercropped Milpa with Fruit Trees) is a sustainable agroforestry technique that combines the traditional cultivation of corn with fruit trees. This method optimizes land use, improves productivity, and promotes biodiversity, while also contributing to the conservation of natural resources and food security in rural communities. The MIAF workshop reinforces the knowledge of the milpa production system. Ten beneficiaries attended this workshop, who will share their knowledge with the communities of Santa María Cuquila, San José Yatandoyo, and Tlaxiaco, benefiting at least 30 families. This workshop was made possible thanks to the connection by M.A. Lluvia Jazmín Arellano Mont, who facilitated the link with Dr. Bersaín Ortiz Jiménez, a research professor from the Administration degree program at the University of Chalcatongo for the workshop’s delivery. We thank them for their availability and commitment to sharing this knowledge.
